Seeking Expressions of Higher Love
When I began tuning into the frequencies of the upcoming New Moon in Sagittarius, as often happens, my guides shared a song with me. For this Lunar Cycle they started playing Higher Love by Steve Winwood. It's been ages since I’ve heard this song, but the moment the words started to flow I realized that YES, this is exactly what this New Moon and the next couple weeks are feeling like to me. Let me share a passage that really evokes the feels I’m feeling:
“I could light the night up with my soul on fire
I could make the sun shine from pure desire
Let me feel that love come over me
Let me feel how strong it could be”
Before I bring in the astrological blueprint of the Sagittarius New Moon, let’s explore a few energies holding the door open for this transition. Some of these will have already come to pass by the time this Light Drop is published, that said, it still feels important to highLight them.
After an eclipse wormhole of profound transformation, the planet Venus, on the 16th, moved into the sign of Expanded Consciousness (Sagittarius). She will be followed by Mercury, who will actually overtake her on the day of New Moon (23rd).. The energies of the eclipse wormhole were intense, powerful and though we will continue to feel the ripples into next year, this sign shift by Venus is opening the gateway to a higher expression of Love and giving us a little sneak preview of the energies that are coming in during this next lunar cycle. The following day is the powerful 11/17 portal, I spoke a bit about the energies this numerology represents in this (Mini) Energy Update: Exploring The 11/17 Frequency and the Infinite Potential of Love, something that did not come through in the update is the special significance to Courage and Strength that this particular number sequence evokes. The number 8 (17), is linked to the month of August and the sign Leo, the courageous and bold heart 11/17 reminds us that we already have the strength and courage necessary to create our world. This year the 11/17 portal also holds a deeper spiritual significance, as the 10 (11+17) is combined with the 2022 (6), giving us a 16, which breaks down further to 7, the number of the Mystical Seeker. Another passage from Higher Love is coming through to share as a way to allow the energies of 11/17/2022 to unfold within you:
“I will wait for it; I'm not too late for it; Until then, I'll sing my song; To cheer the night along”
The 19th of November finds our Retrograde Mars in Gemini, making an exact Square to Retrograde Neptune in Pisces. This is asking us to take a moment to allow ourselves to make one more plunge into the depths of our emotional bodies, before we shift out of Scorpio. This is an extremely potent day for any kind of deep meditative journeying, to get really internal, if you're called it would be an amazing day to dive into the Re-Enter The Void Frequency Meditation, I’m currently sharing on the ‘Tube.
On the 21st we find ourselves in the glow of the Golden Gate, as the Hyades (the weeping sisters) and the Pleiades (the seven sisters) reach their highest point in our skies. These two star clusters create a bridge through which all the Planets and the Sun pass as they orbit along the elliptical (unless they are ‘out of bounds’, more on this later). The Pleiades and the Hyades are both deeply connected to the emergence stories of various cultures, many believe the Pleiadians are our ancient ancestors, that their DNA was mixed with that of the earliest earthlings and we are the evolutionary result of this hybridization.. There are many variations to these stories but suffice to say that these two star clusters have been very important in our collective imagings. There are many ways to feel into this “Golden Gate”, right now I’m feeling Teresa of Avila, in her book The Interior Castle, describing a glittering and enticing passage which appears to be barred, that we cannot ever seem to pass through; and the alchemical quest of turning “lead” to “gold”. The Golden Gate is that for which our soul journey seeks, we pass through it to find yet another before us, urging us ever forward. This stellar Golden Gate is open to us as Sol shifts from Scorpio to Sagittarius. The sign of transformation aiding our metamorphosis, helping us to reach the next doorway on our path. Again we can feel the resonance of the song Higher Love, the singing (prayer) as we seek ever higher expressions of Love. For me this Golden Gate, this bridge between Scoprio and Sagittarius is very dear to my being, it is where my North Node wobbles, you see depending on which calculation is used my North Node is either at 29 Scorpio or 0 Sagittarius. On this day, I will also be facilitating a Live on YouTube, it feels like an exploration of the Golden Gate, the journey of Spiritual Alchemy is coming through for us.
As the Sun moves fully into the sign of Sagittarius, we enter the energy of the 11/22 portal. Holding the unbridled creative potential of the 11 and doubling it; the 11/22 holds the frequency of calling in that which you seek, and bringing it into existence, I often say 11 is the idea and 22 is the physical manifestation of that idea. I love that 11/22 also opens the door into Sagittarius, a sign that expands (it is ruled by Jupiter) our consciousness, that seeks for ever higher forms of education, that wanders but is not lost.
With Venus, Mercury, and the Sun now having transitioned into Sagittarius, the Moon joins the party on the 23rd, bringing in the amazing New Moon energy of Release, Void-Walk and Rebirth. After all the intensity of the eclipses, this New Moon feels like a warm bath for the soul. Not that there aren’t any tense aspects, but the overall cosmic blueprint is exceptionally grace filled. For one thing, we are in Sagittarius a sign of upward movement, even the symbol is an arrow pointing skyward. We have Jupiter, the ruler of Sagittarius, involved in all sorts of lovely aspects. It feels like Jupiter is the anchoring energy of this lunar cycle. This massive planet is “Stationing” on the day of our New Moon, after many months of Retrograde motion, the Great Benefactor is turning around, to begin moving forward once again. Now, anytime Jupiter is active things are gonna be expanded. There is a crystal called Epidote, it is a beautiful glittery void like greenish-black stone, a main aspects of this crystal is that it expands whatever it touches, negative or positive, a piece of advice that often goes along with working with this stone is “make sure you are aware of what your calling in”. This is great advice for this lunar cycle, as Jupiter also expands whatever it touches. This is also the message Mars’ continued travels through Gemini, has been bestowing. We’ve been talking A LOT about Mars the last couple months, and probably will continue to do so until well into next year, the action planet is busy. Let’s touch back on a couple pieces that have come through already, beginning with Mars exact Square to Neptune on the 19th. I mentioned that this is a great day for introspective meditations, however this is simply the day of exactitude. This square is gonna be quite active into December. Another way that this square dance may present in your day to day, is a sense of mental sluggishness. Neptune is very connected to our mental bodies, to our dreams and Mars is about birthing the new. If both these planets were moving forward it would be an absolutely fabulous time for bringing something from your mental realm into the physical. Making your dreams come true. Here with both moving retrograde it might be asking you to really allow these dreams to take shape before acting on them. However there are a few wandering elements that might help you move forward despite this appearance of backwards motion. The first is that our friend Jupiter is conjunct Neptune (it's loose but very much in effect). The second is that Mars is what we call “out of bounds”, which means that the planet of action is traveling outside the elliptical path. Remember that Golden gate we talked about, well you could say that Mars has decided to take a bit of a detour. To go exploring other pathways and possibilities. Mars is also almost exactly conjunct the Dark Moon, this is an aspect of Lilith energy and represents that which is beyond view until the visioner is ready to see it. Then of course we cannot forget that we also have that potent 11/22 portal the day before the New Moon and two days after this square meets in exactness. A way to journey through this energy is to allow yourself to go within on the 19th, to explore your inner-wisdom, to truly discover that which you dream of and the barriers you have built up against it. Then as we pass through the Golden Gate on the 21st, remember that not all is as it appears, that there are many pathways, the path is not as narrow as it first appeared, let yourself explore new territory, to notice gates that at first seemed blocked upon closer inspection were just waiting for you to remember that you already possessed the key. As we move into the 11/22 energy try allowing your ideas to be created in ways that you may have never even imagined possible, that seem out of left-field perhaps.
Oh and just to really keep things interesting, this Square dance between Mars-Dark Moon Lilith and Neptune is actually a Mutable Grand Cross, the Mutable signs are Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces, they hold the energy of endings. Each of these signs asks us to explore what we’ve learned as we close one door and open another. This Lunar cycle is absolutely filled with Mutable energy, with a total of 7 of the “major” planets in mutable signs.. When we add this Grand Cross to the mix we can really begin to feel that a door is closing and a window is opening. Especially when we look at the players involved. First the Grand Cross itself. Where we have the aforementioned Mars-Dark Moon Lilith in Gemini sitting across the wheel from the lovely energy of Hygeia (rapid healing/transformation) in Sagittarius, they are being Crossed by our friends Neptune-Jupiter in Pisces and Ceres in Virgo. This energy feels super yummy, I used that analogy of closing a door and opening a window earlier, this is no ordinary window though. This is a beautiful wall sized window that opens onto the landscape of your wildest dreams. In my visioning it is a glorious meadow, with every imaginable wildflower, snow capped mountains and a waterfall in the distance with the cold pure mountain stream flowing by and an amazing hot lithium spring bubbling invitingly under a live oak tree with a golden eagle perched atop. But that's just my window, what’s outside yours?
Ceres in Virgo brings in a whole lotta yummy harvest season Earth Mother energy (she came in quite a bit during the Blood Moon Eclipse, she was also connected to Jupiter during the Leo New Moon/ Portal of Destiny), in this Mutable Grand Cross, she is helping us remember that the closing of a season is also a time to harvest the seeds we planted. So as you hop out that window don’t forget to harvest all the gifts that matured during the growth cycle.
But wait, that's not all… near Hygeia in Sagittarius, actually right in between our Kundalini Goddess of Miraculous Healing and the Mercury-Venus conjunction is something called The Great Attractor! What in the..?, is the Great Attractor, well that is a very good question. No one really knows. It is a vortex, a black hole, a massive space vacuum cleaner.. It is a point in space, near the Galactic Center which pulls in everything near it at the speed of about 700 km/s. Energetically speaking we can feel this “gravitational anomaly” as a place to quickly transmute anything we are ready to let go of. In the astrological context with this space vacuum nestled between Hygeia and Mercury-Venus, there is an invitation to let your heart-sight wander, when you find energetic clutter, allow the power of the Great Attractor to pull out the debris, then call in the powerful healing white light of Hygeia, to soothe and calm the area - whether the debris was located in your mental, emotional, physical or spiritual body, the potential is available for rapid cleaning.
So like I said, we have 7 major planets in Mutable signs, we’ve covered most of them at this point, I’m going to list them quickly though just for fun. In Sagittarius: Sun, Moon, Venus, Mercury (also Hygeia); In Gemini: Mars (also Dark Moon); In Pisces: Jupiter, Neptune (also Pallas & Vesta); In Virgo - Not “major planets” but Ceres and Isis. That is quite a standing of Mutable energy, so, though often in our current cultural awareness we experience endings as something to be overcome; there is a real sense that we are being shown through the templating of this lunar cycle that endings are actually pretty much always offering us a beginning. Look at the Never-Ending story - yes it's called Never-Ending but the actual story is a reminder that each ending is also a beginning and the only limit is our imagination. I saw a quote by Einstein recently that has stayed with me. “Imagination is more important than Knowledge”. If Higher Love is the theme song for this New Moon, perhaps this is the theme quote.
It feels like I have already shared so much of the amazing potentials being offered during this Lunar Cycle, and I don’t want to overload us, especially since we are all probably a bit tender still after the Eclipse Wormhole we just moved through. So I’ll just quickly share a couple other fun little aspects happening before we close. One of my favorite alignments is a lovely Earth Grand Trine between the North Node in Taurus; Isis in Virgo and Magdalena in Capricorn. This Grand Trine is very tight, less than a degree separating each player. Magdalena in Capricorn is about building new foundations through empowered transformation, Isis in Virgo is creating a remembrance of being “whole unto self”, our collective Taurus North Node is opening the destiny lines to New Earth, to a new way of existing within the material world. All of these signs are about the physical world, the physical body they are gifting us with a gnosis that we are each of us creating our future, that we can allow ourselves to be whole, and in doing so remember that every-being we encounter is also whole. Magdalena is also making an exact square to Chiron in Aries, further bringing home that we are working through some very deep dis-empowerment wounds, many think of Chiron wounds as “unhealable” the question that comes to mind with all that we’ve seen, all that we’ve experienced and all this amazing energy of new ideas, new ways of being, of wildest dreams; what if it is not a matter of healing the wound at all? What if it is actually about remembering that the thorn in our collective paw is actually a rose? I’m feeling some lovely “Hanged Being” energy here, a flipping of the script to say that perhaps Every Thorn has a Rose..

An ability to let the energies of what is being born through all the falling away, to begin to dissolve on our tongues, to wet our appetites and help carry us through the next few months of endings. To remind us that the Higher Love we are Seeking is already here, we just need to clear out all the debris that's been blocking that amazing window.
