Rise Up Together
Sitting here as Mercury begins moving forward again in Capricorn, at a local coffee shop where I often sit and write, one of my favorite songs is playing. It is not the “theme song” for this Aquarius Super New Moon, it has come through before though, in the Libra New Moon Light Drops. The song is called Andromeda by a lovely artist named Weyes Blood. There is a line in the song that makes me tear up everytime I hear it: “Treat me right, I’m still a good man's daughter”. This, however, isn’t the line that was playing as I began typing; that asked to help us, as we start bringing through the frequencies of the Aquarius New Moon on 21/22 of January; of Uranus shifting forward not 24 hours later, bringing all our major planets into forward motion. To be our jumping off point:

I dare you try
This feels important, not simply because the message is a beautiful re-mind-er to us all, it is helping us connect a dot, to re-member that in each moment we are receiving messages. I’ll share a bit more as we float into the energies. As I began tuning in to the frequencies of this New Moon, a couple nights ago, I heard the words Rise, RISE, RISE! playing in my head to the tune of a song that I recognized yet couldn't put my finger on, I kept letting the energy of Rise move through my being as I drifted to sleep. In the morning the tune and word Rise were still there so I decided to search for these lyrics, for this song called RISE. I could feel it was a 70’s soul-funk song. I was thinking, is it The 5th Dimensions, Funkadelic? No that’s not it… As I began my Spotfy search, another song, Rise Up by Andra Day lit up; it wasn’t the one I heard overnight but there was a glowing light around the link and I knew it was important. This one is the theme music for the Aquarius New Moon, I let this beautiful song move through my being, I shared it in the Members Portal and with some soul friends who came through as I was listening. Later that night, in the bathroom (a great place for in-sights), as I was getting ready for bed, the Rise, RISE, RISE!, came back, this time however it was perfectly in tune, I could feel that I’d had the lyric “wrong”, the song began to reshape, into its original form and suddenly I heard it the way that Sly and the Family Stone had recorded it. Stand, STAND, STAND! I realized my guides were once again giving me a song of similar sentiment with slightly altered lyrics to point me in the direction they hoped I’d go. This is not the end of the story, during the aforementioned Spotify search I received many songs and an album by the Cocteau Twins also randomly appeared in the search. I say “randomly” as the word I searched for Rise does not appear in the album title (The Moon and The Melodies) nor in the name of any of the songs. I do love this dreampop album though, so I listened to the whole thing. As I sat down to begin this writing, just before the song Andromeda began playing; I noticed my friend, who makes excellent coffees at this here cafe, is wearing a Cocteau Twins shirt, alerting me to pay attention, something important was about to come through, cue Andromeda beginning.
It feels like this long story has come through to key us in on an important part of the energetic template of the cycle we are entering. To help us remember, after all the amazing (sometimes quite painful) clearing and connecting work we’ve done as Mars has made his slow retrograde through Gemini; we are now connecting, again, to the outer world and all the ways we are communicating and being communicated with. This feels like our cue to start bringing the astrological blueprint in. We’ll begin with Mars, who shifted forward again on the 12th of January, helping us to begin Spreading Our Wings. I already mentioned that on 18 January Mercury is shifted forward, in the sign of Capricorn; at this moment, and through the peak of the New Moon, both the Planet of Action (Mars) and the Messenger (Mercury) are at 8°. They are making an angle called “inconjunct” meaning that they seem to have no connection to one another. Inconjunctions will generally occur when the elements are seemingly incompatible, in this case it is Earth (Capricorn), where we find Mercury and Air (Gemini) where we find Mars. Yet if we Rise Up and explore them from a higher elevation; we can begin to see all the ways they are actually connected. Let’s start with the “obvious”, the number 8, both sitting at this exact degree, speaking to the infinity codes, the never ending metamorphosis that we are all taking part in. The interconnecting circles of the 8 themselves indicate connection, the quantum entanglement, that is the source material of the mattered Universe.
There is another body sitting at this 8°, we spoke of her in the Cancer Full Moon Light Drop, the asteroid named for the lovely Chariklo, where we found her conjunct to Venus in Aquarius making up one leg of a lovely Grand Air Trine. Venus has now moved on and started dancing with Saturn in the later degrees of Aquarius; However as Mars has shifted to direct movement, he has been pulling ever closer in Trine to Chariklo. During the Cancer Moon I mentioned that Ceres was making up the Libra leg of this Trine, what I didn’t see at the time is that the Re-Member-ed King, Osiris, was sitting right there with her. I was guided to add Osiris (and Horus - more on this and Venus to come) into our chart for the Aquarius New Moon, and lo and behold there he is sitting at 7° of Libra next to Ceres at 6°. So what is this Air Trine saying to us, let’s begin with Air itself, related to the mental body, to our minds, the ways we think and express ourselves. Many of us hold deep wounding in this area, after eons of being told that we are “too much” or that many, even most, forms of expression are “sins”. We can also feel the mental body as related to our center of sight, to our in-sight, when we are caught in a trauma loop, having a panic attack or sitting up at night constantly replaying a situation in our heads, this is a directly linked to our mental body, instead of letting go of the circumstance or situation we’ve allowed our minds to clutch them to a point where rigor mortis has set in. I call these trauma loops, this simply means that an imprint was made by an earlier event, that creates a groove in your mental body, so when similar events occur it is very easy to slip back into. What does it mean that we have these beautiful energies of Action (Mars), of Healing (Chariklo), of Planting and Harvesting (Ceres) and of Re-Member-ing (Osiris), all moving forward (externally) making up this Air Grand Trine? Do you see what I see? That as we Re-Member ourselves more fully, we can begin to Harvest the seeds we’ve planted, to come more into Balance (Libra) within our being, as we allow ourselves to connect more deeply with the truth that we create the world with our thoughts; with the words we speak and those that go unsaid (Mars in Gemini), we can begin to make our Dreams of Healing a Reality (Chariklo in Aquarius). In other words to Re-Member that we are all interconnected, that we are not now, nor have we ever been separate from the Divine, we are each of us the sparks of light that create this whole tapestry. Just like every cell in our body does its individual job, it is also connected to all the other cells; and through these connections, as they bounce off one another, our physical being is created. Just like the infinity symbol, just like the number 8, which brings us back to where we started this particular journey to Mercury, which was seemingly unconnected to Mars, yet now as we bring in this Air Grand Trine, we find is making a nearly exact square to Osiris and Ceres in Libra. Which is absolutely perfect of course, because what does a Square ask us to do? Yup to Rise Op, to find a new way to see things, to Re-Mind yourself that when you begin to trust that you are this bridge between the Earth and the Sky, between the Mattered World and the Divine, you’ll begin to realize you don’t need to see around the corner, you can see through the wall.
Before we get to the Sun-Moon (and Magdalena), I am feeling that Venus-Horus energy wanting to shine some yummy Divine Loveness upon us. I mentioned that Venus is now dancing with Saturn, they are also joined by the lovely Medusa, hanging out in the realms between 21°-24° of Aquarius. Let’s allow the energy of this conjunction to more fully move through us.. Take a deep breath and let yourself connect to the energy of divine love and beauty for which Venus is the template holder. As this love moves through your being, connect to the Lord of Time/ Karma, Saturn to the foundations and structures that make up our physical world, and the stories we tell about it. Venus conjunct Saturn in Aquarius feels like we are being given an opportunity to begin rebuilding these stories and our foundations from not just our minds but also from our hearts. Aquarius is an interesting sign, she is known as the “water bearer”, yet holds dominion over an Air sign. The water that falls from her pitcher is a life giving elixir, spiritual food for the world, which can wash away the past making room for the new to grow. We can also view this as a linkage between our Mental (Air) and Emotional (Water) bodies, helping wash away the hurts and pain of the past, the emotional debris, cleaning out the deep wounds; a sort of flood to help clear the decks so that as we begin creating the new we can do so with open hearts and minds. This is also what Shadow Work is all about, bringing our attention to all the ways that we have been creating our world from a place of pain, and re-claiming the narrative, yup, there's Medusa’s cue. She has been so very active this year, in many ways she (and Mary Magdalene - She’ll soon be bringing in the Sun & Moon) feel like the energetic template holders for the energy we are moving into. Medusa, like Magdalena, is beginning to Re-Claim her narrative. After centuries of monsterization she has found her voice again. She Rises Up and says No, this is the actual truth of me; I take my power back and I tell my own story now. Inviting each of us to do the same. In this conjunction with Venus and Saturn, we can find her saying alright, these old out-dated ideas of karma, of outside authority, of being told by another who we are. They are over. Now we RISE UP and say this is me, I am here; I AM divine light, and so are you! We are almost ready to move into the energies opening up this Aquarius energy for us; but first Horus, who has been patiently waiting just off stage takes the spotlight. Like Osiris, Horus is also in Libra; rather than taking part in the Trine with his father; he is off on his own making an exact trine with the Medusa-Venus-Saturn thruple, exact with Venus. Horus holds a very special energetic template, you see though often called “he”, this being is actually a symbol of the unification, of the divine (alchemical) marriage. Born through the Re-Membering of Osiris merged with the Creative Potential held by Isis, it would absolutely be more appropriate to refer to Horus as a “They”, the full embodiment of the Divine Feminine and the Divine Masculine, becoming not more of one but a truer more potent combination of both and a whole new being at the same time. Through their story we can feel that each of us is also a creation of divine unification, even if our parents don’t seem all that divine to us much of the time. There is a beautiful alchemy at work, a magick unique to mattered beings. The calling in of a unique soul to carry the line forward. With Horus and the Venus group we again have an Air Trine, which means we are being gifted a new way of thinking about things. Libra, where Horus sits, asks us to be just in our expressions, to find a balance. One way this comes through at the moment is through the word Equalization, which does not mean simply coming into balance but to re-balance, after a higher state of frequency has been achieved to bring all aspects up to that level. What a perfect example of what we are here doing at this time. I’m not sure there is a better example of what this Trine is expressing than that..
So let’s connect with the Moon now, with the Sun and with Magdalena. Once again we have a New Moon at the 1st degree of its sign (Aquarius). This has been a pattern since we left eclipse season back in November. This is number 3 in a series of 5 such New Moons; the final will be in the spectacular March we have been preparing for, just as we bring in the astrological New Year. This is also a Super New Moon, which means it is happening very close, however unlike a Super Full Moon, this one isn’t visibly bigger, it is working its extra large impact on our subtle realms. Helping to amplify that bigness, we have Jupiter conjunct Juno, now at 4° of Aries, in a sextile to the New Moon Trio. Sextiles are like little mini Trines, they are helping us connect to our more subtle gifts. In this case the story of motherhood, or more specifically of birthing (without regard to gender). Juno in myth is actually the wife of Zues (also known as Jupiter), so here once again we have a divine couple engaged together; they are also helping us connect the dots, once again, sitting fairly tightly Square to Mercury and opposite to Osiris-Ceres; but before we jump to far down that rabbit hole, let’s get back to the New Moon… Where we find the Sun and Moon in exact conjunction with Magdalena’s asteroid, all at the 1st degree, this group is also in a mixed sign conjunction with Pluto tearing shit down at the end of Capricorn. This Super New Moon seems to be asking us to question what we are building. Over the last couple years, with a big peak this last couple months, we have been going through a lot of internal restructuring; and are about to burst forth, to step into the world holding a new template. Usually with this sort of transformation, the idea is let yourself get really curious, what might I be? who might I be? and to be excited about the “I don’t know, yet”. There is a new energy opening for us now though. As we move through the peak of this Moon we find Uranus the Planet of Awakening of not so subtle shifts turning around and beginning to move forward again, in an exact conjunction with Kali..
But wait, I am jumping ahead of myself, again... Let’s pull ourselves back into the Frequencies of the Moon-Sun-Magdalena at the potent 1st degree of Aquarius. Re-Membering that the Water-Bearer helps us to wash away past traumas, not bypassing them but flooding them with the elixir of life. A New Moon takes us to the void point, connecting our unconscious to our conscious ways of being, giving us an opportunity to see how we usually create, releasing any bad creative habits so that as we re-emerge we can create the new from a higher state of consciousness. Magdalena teaches us to re-claim our stories, that his-tory is not the final word. That the truth will all-ways out in the end. I have spoken before about the name Mary, that it is actually a title, a moniker given in days gone by to indicate that someone was a Priestess, this is why there are so many Marys in the bible.. As we dis-cover this truth we can begin to feel even more of the truths that have been hiding in plain sight, just waiting to be unearthed. In come Pluto, the revealer of secrets is just the being for the job. We have been witnessing over the last couple years what a good job Pluto does at tearing down old structures, and revealing the secrets that were hiding within them. This tear down artist is inching his way through these last degrees of Capricorn, he’ll make his first foray into Aquarius in March then teeter back and forth between the final of Capricorn and the first of Aquarius over the next year, helping to really level the ground as we the new begins to Rise Up. This New Moon is helping us begin to feel how Pluto will act in the Aquarian Age, the new truths that we will find, the new technologies. Aquarius together with the planet Uranus, rule new technologies, outer-space, could Pluto be readying to reveal some deep truths about our galactic origins? Re-Claiming the story of who we are and how we got here?
Now we can bring in Uranus and Kali, The North Node too.. Mercury will also come back around, because, in this universe of interconnecting circles all things loop back in at varying degrees. Here we have the Earth Grand Trine that has been active since the end of last year. Some of the players have swapped positions and some have subbed out bringing in replacements. Let’s bring them all out now for a curtain call. In the Material World of Taurus, the realm of Manifestation, we have Uranus now exactly conjunct (again) with Kali, with the North Node just off to the side. Bringing in the energies of Purity and Wholeness, in Virgo, the “Virgin” Whole Unto Self, now moving retrograde, we find Isis and Persephone; and last but absolutely not least the Kundalini Goddess of Miraculous Healing (Awakening), Hygeia, and just off to her side Mercury, who has traveled the realms, gathering new codes and activations, bringing them back to the Earthly realms of form and function in Capricorn. Now as we bring this in I am feeling a strong need to speak of Mercury a bit more, to speak into our space some of “his” other names. Let’s explore, and as we do, let yourself become more connected to your physical being, we’ve been in the mental realms A LOT recently both energetically and as this particular Light has been Dropping in. Take a couple deep breaths, connect with your heart space, then go further let your breath connect to your root chakra, breath here a couple breaths, then further still to your Earthstar, the chakra below your feet, that connects into Gaia, your point of connection into the Earth Grid Matrix. Now from a place of groundedness we can begin to bring through “his” names, Mercury, Hermes, Thoth, Enoch-Metatron, there are more but this is good for now. Each of these beings (who are also one) hold the template of being able to travel through the realms, from the highest heights of the heavens to the deepest depths of the “lower worlds”. We could also read this as a being who is able to navigate interdimensionally, through space and time, now let’s feel that Metatron piece, the Archangel of form and function, the keeper of the sacred geometry that holds the universe together. This Archangel was once believed to exist in human form as the being named Enoch, who told the story of the “Fallen Angels” and traversed the dimensions relaying messages from the Divine to “the Fallen”. This is a long story and one that feels like it might be coming in as part of the Member’s Portal Live New Moon Circle. It is the role of record keeper that this entity plays, in all these forms that wishes to be brought through now. Capricorn is the sign of structures, it is also a place where we strive for our highest possible potential. Hygeia and “Mercury” are here as we close-out Capricorn season and bring in the New energy of Aquarius to remind us that we don’t have to build the way we always have. We can allow for new information to change the foundations upon which we build our world. This Earth Grand Trine is slightly tilted, what I mean is that Hygeia is meeting more closely with Uranus-Kali and Persephone-Isis, while Mercury is meeting more closely with the North Node. This shows us that we are waking up to new potentials. We have been doing the hard work; clearing out all the debris, that thick curtain, which has been keeping us from seeing the truth of our potential, of who/ what we actually are. We are not becoming more whole, we are Re-Membering that we all ways have been. Bringing us into greater alignment with another truth. We do not need a messenger outside ourselves to connect with the Divine, we are that messenger, each and every one of us.
This is hard work! All this clearing, rebirthing, re-membering, opening up our hearts to greater degrees and letting the divine back in. We have been walking around in a world for lifetimes where we were told that we are fallen, we are separate, we are not enough. Breaking through these distortions takes so much strength and resilience, so much patience and gratitude. Luckily we have a nice wind at our backs coming through over the next couple months. The day after this Aquarius New Moon, Uranus (ruler of Aquarius) turns around, like the powerful change agent it is; creates a new forward momentum, turning the page, with this, now all our major planets are moving forward. Carrying with them tectonic shifts as first Saturn, then Pluto and then Mars all change signs in March.. This forward movement continues straight through into April *when Mercury breaks from the pack and begins moving retro again (bringing us into a new Earth cycle from the sign of Taurus) but that's a story for another time…
There are so many other energies I wanted to bring Light to, yet, I can also feel that we have already moved a lot of energy.. Let me feel for a second.. Yup, okay we are going to bring in one last puzzle piece, and see where they take us.
Neptune, Vesta and Shiva, are all together in the Transcendent Waters of Pisces. This conjunction feels so powerful, so hopeful; Vesta is our passions, she is the namesake for the sign Virgo and holds a deep connection to the empowerment gained as we purify ourselves, i.e., release the ideas of brokenness, of separation, and remember the truth of wholeness. Neptune is very at home in Pisces being the ruler of this realm, a master of illusion and dis-illusion, in the sign of the fishes, finds new and creative ways to unveil the world for us. Shiva makes an interesting bed fellow for these two, bringing in structure. Shiva creates the Universe upon which Shakti dances. Shakti is the Divine Feminine Principle, the beingness from which all the Divine Feminine archetypes emerge, the Divine Mother to all Divine Mothers. An interesting little piece as we connect to Shiva and Shakti, there is of course an asteroid named for Shiva, as there is one named for Kali and some of the other feminine archetypes of the Hindu pantheon. There is however not one named for Shakti, I was looking into this many months ago and was guided to use Neptune as a stand in for Shakti, the passages I found (and my guides) spoke of Neptune’s shape-shifting nature and ancient (pre-greco-roman) Goddess origins, a deep long lost aspect of this fish-gods story, which I believe will continue to be revealed, as they continue to break down the veils in Pisces. It feels like this was brought in to help us explore more deeply all the ways we are hiding our true nature from ourselves, our true passions. It is time to unfurl our wings, it is time to dance the dance of the divine and to create the New from a place of connection to our truth, to our passions.
As I close, I will share part of a dream I had the other day. I was standing in front of a group of people, an assembly of sorts, I was sharing with them my truth. A deep knowing that the way we’ve structured our world, assigning peoples worth through the use of magic paper is not working, asking can we instead re-member each of us holds a unique template, with gifts that are invaluable to the whole; as we re-member this we can begin to value each other for our true worth, not one more than the other but each absolutely indispensable and divine.
I suppose this is what it means also to Rise Up Together and with that I leave you with these words from Andra Day’s beautiful song:
