Crossing the Streams and Uncrossing the Stars
Cosmic Light Drops
Virgo New Moon 14/15 September 2023
Bringing through this edition of Cosmic Light has been a bit of a struggle for me.. Every time I asked, is it time? or simply sat down in front of my computer to begin typing, I heard a loud, No, not yet..
Now, finally though I am feeling the frequencies ready to flow. It all began with a quote from Thich Nhat Hanh, a seed planted during the 9/9 portal, just after Sunrise, when I noticed a sign in someone’s garden, the words “It is no more miraculous to walk upon the Air than it is to walk upon the Earth.”
I have felt this phrasing moving throughout my system over the intervening days, growing ever louder as I began to explore the chart for this Virgo New Moon cycle with a Water anchored Earth Trine, Kite which is such a prominent feature making itself known. I could feel the miracle of our Earth walking and how important this re-membering is during this powerful portal of introspection.
I was feeling though that something was missing, what is it? I wondered.. I heard, you need to look up the quote; as I did and the full ensemble began to take form. I share it with you now and we shall weave the frequencies together.
“People usually consider walking on water or in thin air a miracle. But I think the real miracle is not to walk either on water or in thin air, but to walk on earth. Every day we are engaged in a miracle which we don't even recognize: a blue sky, white clouds, green leaves, the black, curious eyes of a child—our own two eyes. All is a miracle.”

When I feel into the Earth Grand Trine at the center of the New Moon Kite, it is this innate truth that we have forgotten about our Embodied existence; that all of this life, our ability to create it and our connection to it, is a miracle. As this full quote continued to move through, another energy which has been calling my attention these last couple days rose to the surface; it is a second Kite in the chart for this New Moon…
First let's answer the question, what is an astrological Kite… When we look at a chart, whether for a person or an event, there are prominent features, lines drawn where planets, cosmic bodies and other factors intersect. Many of these will likely be familiar to you, the Square, the Trine, the Conjunction, the Opposition and the Sextile are among the most commonly referenced here in these Light Drops.. Now sometimes we find that the intersecting lines will form other shapes building upon one another - the Kite is such an occurrence and happens when one of the points of a Grand Trine is intersected in Opposition, which also creates a Sextile between the other points of the triangle. Creating the appearance of an old school Kite
Energetically this opposition draws a line through the Trine, creating an opening in this ‘closed loop’ system - helping the previously unseen gifts therein to become seen.
With this primer laid down, let me introduce first the “New Moon Kite” then the “Cross Stream”...
As the New Moon peaks we find the Sun and Moon at 21 of Virgo forming a powerful Earth Grand Trine with the Retrograde Pluto at 28 of Capricorn and the Retrograde Uruans at 22 of Taurus, Retro Jupiter is also in Taurus at 15, a bit outside the normal degrees, however due to other factors, very much eligible for inclusion in this Trine. This Earth Grand Trine energy is about getting into our bodies in new ways and finding old previously locked doors; this could present as old injuries to our physical bodies resurfacing but in slightly different ways. It could also be revealing old wounds that relate to our ability to create, our relationships with money and manifestation, some of us may even encounter doors that hide away our deepest fears about incarnating in Earthly form. With Pluto, Uranus and Jupter all retrograde and this being a New Moon bringing our un-subconscious patterns to the surface; we are likely all feeling a bit of head spinning in the ‘wait I thought I’d already dealt with that’ or the ‘oh wow I didn't know that was under there’ departments.. Which brings me to the Opposition penetrating this Grand Trine, helping us to access the gifts that are locked behind these cellar doors. Here we have none other than the great veil lifter themself, Neptune, currently retrograde in Pisces, the sign which they rule. Neptune is adding Water to this Earth Trine, flooding our bodies with emotional release so that we can clear away the debris; I have been seeing this as a waterspout erupting from the depths flowing up through these locked doors and blowing the hinges off.. This is not a gentle lunation.
As Neptune sits in Opposition to the Sun and Moon in Virgo we are reminded that though this water appears to be coming from the Ocean that encircles the Core of the Earth it is also sourced from the deepest chamber of our Hearts.
This is brought even more into our awareness through the long running Square between Neptune and the Galactic Center, which at 27 of Sagittarius is actually forming a T with the Sun-Moon Conjunction. This T-Square can also help us connect, to ‘Cross the Stream’ to our other Kite - you see at 14 of Sagittarius is the Great Attractor, this enormous and beautiful ‘space vacuum’ is not part of the aforementioned T-Square however it is exactly across Trine to Venus at 14 Leo, still in shadow but very slowly moving forward again..
As I bring in this “Cross Stream” Kite I share that this is not technically a Kite, at least not one that is shaped ‘traditionally’. Let’s begin first with the Fire Grand Trine that creates the centerpiece. We have already called in the Great Attractor in Sagittarius; over in Leo in addition to Venus we find Juno (15) and Hekate (18); and in Aries it is Chiron still retrograde and now at 18, so exactly Trine with Hekate. This entire Grand Fire Trine is asking us to re-member what we are passionate about, what lights us up and what scares the shit out of us; here we find that our life force, the full potential of our I Am presence, our Divine Light is available. Again like all Trines, an outside assist is often necessary in order to realize our true potential.
Why do I keep calling this the Cross Stream Kite, you might be asking, well there are a couple reasons.. The first is that rather than a single ‘penetration’ point, this Grand Fire Trine actually has two, which are in Trine formation with one another…
Let’s begin with the Aqaurius point, in a tight Opposition to Venus et. al., over in Leo, we find a now Retrograde Hygiea (12), This White Light generating Kundalini Goddess is penetrating into our deepest wounds, especially those that relate to our sexuality.. Hygiea was exactly across from Venus on 4 Sept., when the latter stationed and began to move forward through Leo once again. Let’s open this energy up a bit wider shall we.. beginning with Venus, not ‘Aphrodite’ goddess of beauty, love and pleasure that we have for so long been asked to limit her too, but the fullness of Venus - the Divine Feminine. Now, this is not to say that the Aphrodite aspect of Venus isn’t amazing, she is a powerhouse, but she has been so restrained, asked to be the holder of standards of beauty that are limiting. I love when this happens, as I began allowing the fullness of Venus to flow through I was shown that the conjunction she is making with Hekate and Juno is helping us see how we have been asked ourselves to minimize our full creative potential, which we can view as the magick that Venus represents. We can feel this through the triple Goddess energy Juno the Mother, Venus the Maiden and Hekate the Crone, as we re-member that they are each Maiden, Mother and Crone and that all are active and beautiful aspects of this dance of life. This is also where the sexual wounding comes in; this is not necessarily physical sexual trauma that we have experienced in this lifetime, or even physical sexual trauma that we inherited from our Mother and/ or Father; though it may have also shown up in this way, it is bigger. It is the trauma of our births, a sacred rite that every single human experiences, of course this process varies for each of us and can also create deep wounds; However it is an older wound to which I allude. You see the wound of the birthing process, is connected to ‘original sin’, just not as we have often been asked to believe; you know that the act of creation (Sex) is a Sin, which contains within it the belief that to be incarnate, to be the product of this act of creation means to be born of sin.. The wound formed through the belief that the flesh, the corporal and the carnal were dirty, wrong, less than divine, which has been running for so many generations in so many cultures that we are all in some form carrying it. So whatever other wounds we each have related to our birthing process, to our sexual nature, to the act of creating; this old narrative has been running through the blood of our humanity for so long that it has in essence infected us with a toxin – this is the poison that Hygeia is helping us to extract, shining her bright light into this now open root cellar so that we may re-member that our humanity, our bodies, the fullness of our creative potential is, like Thich Nhat Hanh so beautifully said, nothing short of a miracle. So we can lay down our armaments and let the Goddess within us (within all of us) rise up and say we are here, we are whole..
Now before I move on from this I would be remiss if I did not share that the kernel of this particular wound, where the dogma originated, is ancient, it is connected to what we sometimes hear called the ‘first fall’, though it goes by many other names… The germination of this wound began in the ages we associate with LeMUria or the Garden, to Atlantis and to the original Sex Magick temples. But this is a story for another time…
I speak of Sex Magick temples and this invites in another Divine Feminine, Divine Mother energy - Isis, the lineage holder of the Egyptian Sex Magick Temples; her asteroid sits at 9 of Libra in conjunction with Mars (11), Persephone (12) and the asteroid named for Lilith (15), this potent grouping of energies is sitting across the wheel from Chiron; in Sextile with the Great Attractor and the Venus, Juno, Hekate party; and in Trine to Hygiea..
This is our first ‘cross stream’, rather than a traditional Kite this Fire Grand Trine is being activated twice, which in many ways makes perfect sense, if we are going to access the miracle of Earth walking that is being offered by the New Moon Kite, healing the wounds associated with the literal ability to create this life is pretty, fucking (pun intended), important…
Let’s look at the players over there in Libra, the sign of balance, of connections and relationships; this sign is ruled by Venus and is also connected to manifestation, to currency - here let's read currency as the value we give something rather than as the thing that we have given the value to (i.e., money). We have A LOT of energy in Libra during this New Moon, not just our ‘cross stream’ players, but we shall begin with them. I have already called them in but they are asking for another go round..
We have Isis conjunct Mars conjunct Persephone conjunct Lilith (asteroid - embodied form) - they say re-member that your thoughts are acts of creation, your expression is an act of creation - during a cycle chock full of retrograde energy they are all in forward motion. This is important, they sit across from Chiron who is moving retrograde, and in Trine to Hygeia also moving backwards, saying get in there and explore where the wound is inflamed, we have enough oxygen to feed these flames to create a fire so big that it clears away the brush and the Great Attractor is with us to help vacuum up the ash.. There is a caution here also, especially with the big Mercury energy during this Lunation, be aware of what you are processing through your mental body - ask yourself am I getting too ‘heady’ with this? Have I let the necessary emotions to move through me, or is there a trauma loop playing through my centers of expression.. If you catch one worry not, celebrate that you noticed it and invite your heart to come through and share in the journey.
Before moving forward through this very active Libra space, we shall move backwards to the zero point where Pallas Athena can be found, in an exact Square to Vesta at the zero point of Cancer; these Cardinal degree points have a lot of energy and these two aspects of the Goddess do also, correlating as they do to our passion and drive, they remind us that what we are birthing is nothing less than the full expression of our Life Force. Now lets jump over our Cross Stream party where we find the Stellar Dimension of Arcturus (24) in conjunction with the South Node (25), this is the Akashic Portal that opened wide on 4 Sept. and will be running strong throughout the rest of the month. Did I mention that we are in a potent period where access to our deepest wounds, to those things, places, ways of being in the world which were previously hidden from us are now ready to be revealed. This portal is a one of the energetic markers for this, it is important to note that this does not necessarily mean that you now have access to your deepest core wound, but it does mean that you likely have access to parts of it that eluded you before. I shared much about this portal in the Pisces Blue Super Moon Light Drop and in the Deep Re-Memberings as an Akashic Portal Opens update on YouTube, which includes ways to work with this energy.. One reason that I have called the South Node and Arcturus back in for this Light Drop is that they are connecting us back in with Pluto via a T-Square that includes Eris and the North Node in Aries.. Pluto, which is one point of our New Moon Earth Grand Trine and Kite, brings us back to the crossing of the streams.. You see though our two “Kites” may not appear at first blush to be interacting as we cycle through the sign of Libra and connect to the Pluto T-Square and the energies of the 4th of September we are reminded on that day, while in a tight Square to one another Jupiter in Taurus shifted retrograde and Venus shifted Direct, as Venus slowly builds of momentum again this Square with Jupiter gets tighter and tighter, becoming exact during the Equinox on 23rd. On this New Moon it is Juno who is exactly Square with Jupiter, Juno is the wife of Zeus which is also Jupiter.. Isn’t that fun, can you feel the tension this energy can reveal for us about our significant partnerships? Or perhaps even about our relationship with ‘traditional’ gender roles.. With Jupiter in retro motion we can invite the great benefac into these questions and with Uranus there and most closely Squaring with Hekate the invitation to open our eyes to the variety of paths available to us is in the mail (so to speak).
I mention an invitation being in the mail and Eris comes a knocking. I mentioned that she is currently conjuncting the North Node in Aries but they are also making a Grand Fire Trine of their own, and its yup you guessed it, another Kite!!! Eris and the North Node are in Trine to the Galactic Center in Sagittarius (which as we may recall is T-Square Neptune and New Moon) and to Black Moon Lilith at 27 of Leo, here the penetration point is the South Node and Arcturus.. See how many streams we are crossing! This is where we can use the Cross Streams to Uncross the Stars. This term ‘Star Crossed lovers’ has been very loud for me over the last few weeks, however it wasn’t until the 9/9 portal however that the reverberations began to come into harmony. A conversation that had been moving through me about my intimate partnerships, not just my marriage but also my familial relationships, those by blood and those of other sources. I began to feel the phrase, opposites attract through the nature of Twin Flames and Sacred Partners; deep karmic relationships that are vaster than any single lifetime. The work that we do together, whether that work is the Kali love my sister and I currently share with our Parents, both through the mirrors we hold up for them in the profound healing journeys we are both on and the stepping back from them in the physical that they may see themselves more clearly. Through the soul friends that I share my journey with, who through their movements through ancient shared wounds opens up my ability to see a new aspect of my-self and vice versa. Through a story I recalled about a Mother whose Son was murdered, each day she went to the trial of the young man who slayed the young man she had birthed and raised; she heard this child's story and felt deeply the wounds and trauma that he carried, was able to feel how they contributed to his violent act. After he was sentenced she found herself called to visit him in prison to let him know that he was forgiven, but it did not stop there, she continued to visit him weekly, her forgiveness of him helping not just to heal her broken heart but to expand her capacity for love. As they visited her healing helped him heal and vice versa, finally the day of his parole hearing came and she attended not simply to witness or even to advocate but to share that she would be his caretaker, that she would give him a place to live and help him to find his way back into the world from this new structure that love and true forgiveness built.
When we hear the term Star Crossed, it is a sense of doom that we are connecting to, that place where there seems to be no space for love, however like this Mother each of us has the capacity to Uncross the Stars in our own lives, to find those places where our deepest wounds gift us with a clarity that allows us to move through the shadow of vengeance into the lightness of Forgiveness..
Now I’m realizing that I have barely even mentioned Mercury during this Light Drop, which is funny since the messenger is so very strong during this lunation; the Moon will pass through a backwards traveling Mercury in the hours prior to reaching void point at the center of the Sun, then just hours later Mercury will station and begin to move forward once again. Whenever a planet shifts directions its energy is amplified. In the case of this particular shifting with the Moon and Sun meeting conjunct in the same sign just 12 degrees away, well you may recall that I was having a hard time getting started with this CLD.. You may notice that you also are having a bit of trouble focusing your energy - it may feel like there are just far to many messages coming in or, even if you are a master of discernment and generally have a very strong degree of trust in your divine guidance, that you are not really quite sure if the message you received was divine will or something else entirely. I can share for my-self during this particular cavalcade of information I have found asking trusted soul friends for help to be an important resource. For me this need for help has been especially true when the information in question is connected to a healing pilgrimage that I have been guided to embark upon beginning on the 15th.. So as we close this edition of Cosmic light for the Virgo New Moon, I invite you also to connect with soul friends; this is a healing moon and however the energy is moving through you, when the wounds are this deep, the growth potential is this big, and the amount of information is this vast having trusted confidants to help you sift through it all is truly a gift.
