Gemini Full Moon, 27 November 2023
Sophia’s Moon… this is what I've been hearing and feeling coming through, in various ways, these last couple weeks. As I open this edition of Cosmic Light we will name a few more ‘ways’ to help us sing in the frequencies. Wisdom Moon, Medicine Moon, Awakening Deeper Chambers of the Wisdom Heart Cycle, Lunation of the Wisdom Song.
Sophia, Wisdom, and Medicine are all symbols of the Divine Love that is the Source Code for creation.
Sophia in Gnostic Tradition is connected to the Tree of Life and to the Song or Ley Lines of the Earth - The Tree of Life is a representation of the interconnectedness of Earth and the Heavens - we can also view the Trunk as our physical embodied being, the Roots as all that has come before us, and the branches as all that is to come. Sophia is also the Serpent who sat in the Tree of Knowledge from which Adam and Eve ate the apple and became self aware, thus being expelled from the garden (naivety). The story of Persephone leaving the Garden and beginning her journey into the Underworld, making the necessary descent into darkness in order to truly know herself, allowing for an even greater gnosis of the divine light from which all emerged, is another version of this story. Both of these stories are reminders of the same truth, that we are here to gain wisdom, to learn and to evolve; to bring the embodied form into union with the divine.
As we ready now to invite in the cosmic blueprint for this Gemini lunation; I invite you into a re-membering. In the biblical depiction of this apple eating event the word used to describe the Serpent who was within the Tree of Knowledge is ‘Lucifer’, which means ‘Light Bringer’ - Lucifer is often called ‘the Morning Star’; Yeshua/ Jesus/ Isa has also been called the ‘Morning Star’. Venus goes through both a ‘Morning Star’ and an ‘Evening Star’ phase; Venus is the Greek/ Latin name for the Summarian Goddess Inanna/ Ishtar whose symbol was an 8 pointed star, a representation of the orbit of the planet Venus from our Earthly vantage. In various traditions around the world and throughout the ages Venus has been equated with the Divine Mother whether as Isis, the Mother Mary or of course Sophia..
It is through this templating of the ‘Light Bringer’ that we will begin our journey into the cosmic blueprint, a light bringer is a revealer, when used to describe Jesus/ Yeshua/ Isa it was meant to illustrate the revelation of the Christ Light and to open a pathway, a portal whereby each of us could access and embody Christ Consciousness; when used to describe Sophia/ Venus it is that first light, the first wisps of self awareness and consciousness which open the door to an ever greater knowing of the nature of the Divine.. Venus is currently in her Morning Star phase, rising just ahead of the Sun, leading the way for the new day that is about to Dawn. During this Gemini Full Moon we find Venus in tight conjunction with the South Node and Arcturus in Libra, Kali is still close at hand, though not quite conjunct, bringing in, via opposition, a connection to Chiron. So as the Full Moon reflects Sunlight brightly into our depths, Kali with her flaming sword helps us to clear away the cobwebs that have formed in the darkest recesses of our cellars, while Venus shines brightly in the pre-dawn sky and invites the roots of our trees (all the where we’ve been) to be re-membered.
Over the past couple months we have been talking a lot about this South Node-Arcturus conjunction in Libra, and as we call in the asteroid Sophia and the other energies that are making this Gemini Full Moon such a powerful harbinger of the rising of the light, I invite you to request a replay link for Arcturus Gateway Transmission and Activation Frequency Transmission and Akashic Light Activation, which was facilitated live during the Sun’s annual Ingress with Arcturus in October.
As the Sun rises the morning star’s light begins to fade, blotted out by the potent rays of our Sol Star, you are invited now to feel the truth of this within your spiritual being; that all which came before does not go away it is simply subsumed by the brightening lightness of our beings. The Star that warms our bodies and the Earth makes its annual passage into the sign of Sagittarius on the 22/23 of November a few days before the Full Moon; this is the sign of higher learning, of adventure and of truth above all. As a Scorpio/ Sagittarius cusp North Node I understand this energy profoundly as full bodied seeking for the highest available truth. To go wherever I am called, whenever I am called in pursuit of the mysteries that may help us shine ever more brightly - this is a seeking for wisdom not to attain wealth or renown but for the joy of experience and the ability to open pathways to finer and finer frequencies of Love. Before we get to the Full Moon I am called to a fun little musing for us; the Sun enters Sagittarius as we move through the 11/22 Portal - 11/11 is often called the Portal of Manifestation, during this time the Sun is still in Scorpio and opposite Taurus which is the Earth sign connected to manifestation and creation; the 11/22 represents the fulfillment of the promise of creation, it occurs as the Sun shifts into Sagittarius the sign of the Seeker and is opposite Gemini the sign of Expression.. Inviting us to seek and become the full expression of creation.
On to the Full Moon, occurring at 1:16am Pacific on 27 November with the Sun at 4 degrees of Sagittarius still in conjunction with Mars (2) and Ceres (0) with Osiris, the re-membered king, now along for the ride at 3 degrees. Directly across the wheel we find the Moon shining brightly at 4 degrees of Gemini, this opposition is also creating a powerful Mutable Grand Cross, with Hekate and Black Moon Lilith in Virgo and Saturn and Magdalena in Pisces. The Mutable signs indicate the closing of chapters and seasons so that the new may begin. Lets being with the Queen of the Crossroads in conjunction with the primordial Feminine in the sign of the ‘Virgin’ Priestess, tightly across the wheel from Saturn who has begun first rotations forward again, after many months retrograde, building up momentum but still at the 0 point of Pisces. This Full Moon is in many ways an indicator of the Crossroads that humanity is currently at, in one direction is the way things have been done, all the old worn out power over structures that we’ve known to be broken for ages but were not yet able to see our way through; in another direction a pathway has opened through the higher heart, lit by the bright torch of Hekate, it is not so much a new path but one that most have been taught to fear, as it leads through the shadowlands. This path asks us to open our eyes to the masks we wear and the lies that we tell ourselves; it is a path of truth, of love, and of light, but in order to traverse it we must move through the dark. This needn’t be an overly long or painful journey however. Part of the current energy template is an ability to move through our personal and collective shadowlands with dexterity, all the work of our Elders and Ascended Masters, all the lives that each of us who are old souls have lived as part of the light bringers journey created portals, which together with all the beautiful light that our solar system is passing through and all the new Indigo and Crystal Souls, all the walk in Starseeds and the support through the dimensions is creating a powerful sort of shadowlands express train..
The asteroid named for Sophia feels a bit like the conductor on the Gemini Full Moon Express.. We find her in Virgo at the 23rd degree almost directly across the wheel from Neptune still retrograde at the 24th of Pisces both of which are tightly Squaring Mercury at 24 of Sagittarius in conjunction with the Galactic Center. This is also a Mutable Grand Cross as we bring in the serpentine energies of Medusa who’s retrograding through the final degrees of Gemini and currently at the 27th.. That's right we have not one, but two Mutable Grand Crosses during this Gemini Full Moon, creating many interconnected weavings..
We have Mercury and the GC in Trine to the North Node in Aries still conjunct Eris, which flows us back into the Venus-South Node-Arcturus Conjunction, which is in Trine to the Medusa in Gemini and the asteroid named for Hygeia in Aquarius; which together are forming a powerhouse Grand Air Trine, helping us to clear our old ways of thinking about the world and about our spiritual journey, with the Mercury - North Node Trine calling in the fires of purification…
Of course if we are going to clear away the debris held in our mental bodies we will be best served if take this purification into our Emotional beings also, and for this we are gifted a beautiful Water Grand Trine which Saturn and Magdalena from the Sun-Moon Mutable Grand Cross are holding open for us, together with Vesta in Cancer and Pallas in Scorpio. Here we have symbols of the eternal flame and of reclamation, of old stories told from wounded perspective being rewritten, moving through each phase of grief allowing the wound to be cleaned before healing, until the story rises up and shines with a light from within to be embodied from a state of empowerment. This is the gift also of Sophia in Virgo, the serpent and bringer of the light, the wisdom and the re-membering; and where we begin to really embody our healing; having found the road and boarded the express train to en-Light-enment, we allow our-selves to experience what we think and feel, to shed old skins that no longer fit, to find the higher truths and open our bodies up to receive the divine light that is our birthright.. Sophia is in Trine to the planet of awakening Uranus and the teacher, the prophet Isa, who is an opener of the portal to Christ Consciousness, currently conjunct in the sign of manifestation and earthly creation Taurus - this is also a an Earth Grand Trine, though loosely, with Pluto at the end of Capricorn, reminding us that though the train is express it does not mean we don’t make stops along the way nor that we won’t find old broken tracks that need rebuilding before we can a-light again.
This entire Cosmic Light Drop is a reminder that we are on a precipice, as the reflective light of this Full Moon shines it will be rising upon many beautiful souls who are just beginning to open their eyes, Many of us may have been feeling a sense of foreboding over the last couple weeks or even months, a question lingering in the back of the mind and a grieving deep within the heart - for what do I grieve and why does it feel like the world is about to end? We may have found ourselves asking. This awakening and rising of the light is the answer, a moment that many of us knew was coming is imminent; it feels like an extinction because in many ways it is, for the time is now come for the ‘Old Earth’, that aspect which we sometimes refer to as 3D, to blink out. This frequency shift is nothing to fear, for many of us it is simply going to fall away with little more than some loud crashes as the last couple pillars, which had been propping up the facade, topple. Of course if your entire life is built atop one of those crumbling pillars it will likely be more uncomfortable, however like the Tower card in the Tarot, if you can let go and allow this falling, the landing will be much softer.
